Mahalo for your interest in nominating a recipient for our 2014 Tennis Hall of Fame! Please see below for instructions on how to nominate someone as well as information about how and where to submit your nomination.


Tennis Hall of Fame Selection Committee

Nomination Requirements & Instructions
  1. Any interested person may submit nominations to the USTA Hawaii Pacific Section Tennis Hall of Fame selection committee.
  2. Nominees may be selected posthumously.
  3. There will be two categories of the Tennis Hall of Fame:

Player Category
Players will be chosen for their record of outstanding competitive achievements with considerations to sportsmanship and character. Other considerations are:
  • USTA HPS member who played or is currently playing HPS tournaments
  • Local, Sectional, National and International record of play
  • Davis Cup, Fed Cup, Wightman Cup participant residing in the USTA  Hawaii Pacific Section
  • Number of years ranked in the USTA Hawaii Pacific Section
  • Awards and commendations received
  • Participation in community activities
  • Other outstanding achievements

Service Category
This category honors individuals who are volunteers, media, officials, coaches and others who have made outstanding contributions to tennis. Other  considerations are:
  • Activities in the USTA Hawaii Pacific Section
  • Length of service to the USTA at the Sectional and/or National level
  • Awards and commendations received
  • Participation in community activities
  • There will be no more than one player and one non-player selected each year.

Nominations are being accepted for the following awards. All nominees must be current USTA members. Adequate reasoning (i.e., service, accomplishments, awards) is *REQUIRED* for each nomination to be considered.
